COVID-19 Update: Clinic Closed Until Further Notice

March 30, 2020 Update:
I’m sorry to report that we must extend our closure for an indeterminate amount of time as we remain in the state of a public health emergency.

Our regulatory body, the College of Massage Therapists of BC’s position continues to be that RMTs should not practice under any circumstances, until otherwise notified.

We will contact you as soon as possible to rebook your appointment when we are informed by the Provincial Health Officer and the CMTBC that it is safe to commence practice again.

We wish you and your family health, safety, and nothing but the best in these unprecedented times.

– Sincerely, Zana and the Team at Amora Massage Therapy Clinic.

March 17, 2020 Update:
With the rapidly progressing pandemic it’s important that each of us does everything we can to flatten the curve and slow the spread of this virus. This includes taking drastic social distancing measures, and staying home when we can. The nature of massage therapy is most often not critical care and includes close one-on-one contact. As such, we believe it is in everyone’s best interest that our clinic closes until this crisis is behind us.

Effective immediately we are cancelling all appointments between now and the last day of March. During this time we will reassess our decision based on current circumstances and recommendations.

Online booking availability on our website has been turned off until further notice and we will prioritize rebooking canceled appointments before reinstating it.

Many of our Therapists have agreed to this decision at great personal cost. We applaud them and the others who have also taken this step for the health and safety of the most vulnerable in our communities.

Our staff are personally contacting those that have appointments during this time.

We apologize for any inconvenience and hope that you and your family stay safe.

– Zana Ng and the Amora Massage Therapy team
